2014 Chevy Camaro: Style Changes Keep the Camaro the Musclecar of Choice

When you think of classic American musclecars, there’s one car that comes to mind for Chicago, Antioch, Grayslake, and Fox Lake car lovers – the Chevrolet Camaro. For the 2014 model year, the Chevy Camaro gets a restyled facelift for the LS, LT, SS, and ZL1 models, making this classic a car that keeps up with the times, by taking a lot of the elements of the 2013 ZL1 and incorporating them into the entire Camaro line up. At Rock Chevy, where low prices and the best selection of the hottest vehicles come together, you can check out the new improvements that make the 2014 Chevy Camaro the musclecar of choice.

According to Camaro Marketing Manager, John Fitzpatrick, Chevrolet had two objectives – they wanted to differentiate between the V6 and the V8 SS model and add a little more flair to the RS package. What Chicago, Antioch, Grayslake, and Fox Lake car buyers will notice first about the SS model is the hood extractor. It’s a functional hood extractor, which brings air into the car and cools the engine, similar to what was found on the 2013 ZL1. This is complemented by a new, lower opening grille, with some chrome accenting the top, to give the new 2014 Camaro SS a little bling. The 2014 Chevy Camaro RS package now comes with functional fog lamps, making it safer to drive in the sometimes less than ideal weather conditions Chicago, Antioch, Grayslake, and Fox Lake drivers have to contend with.

One of the most striking style changes comes at the rear of the 2014 Camaro. They’ve taken the two rear tail lamps lenses, and transformed them into one lens. On the RS package, you get the upgrade from incandescent tail lamps to LED lights, giving a very bright, very distinct look to the Camaro’s back end that hasn’t been available previously.

Of course, the big news is the reintroduction of the 2014 Chevy Camaro Z28 package. Where the interior of the other 2014 Camaro models changes little for this model year, with the Z28 package, you get Ricarro performance seats standard. These sport seats will also be available as an option on the ZL1 and SS models, for Chicago, Antioch, Grayslake, and Fox Lake Camaro buyers who’d like a sportier interior or are looking to take their Camaro to the track.

At Rock Chevy, you can check out all of these exciting style changes for the 2014 Chicago Chevy Camaro, while ensuring you’re getting the best customer service and low prices.

Hyundai Continues to Reap Awards for Quality and Value

Hyundai cars have always been known for their value, but they give you quality, too.  From the inexpensive Accent to the luxurious, upscale Equus, Hyundai vehicles are a world-class combination of style, features, safety and comfort you just won’t see anywhere else.  The icing on the cake is the industry-leading warranty Hyundai buyers get with every new car.

All this adds up to plenty of Hyundai awards for quality, customer satisfaction and value.  A sampling of recent Hyundai awards includes:

  • In 2010, Hyundai was the top-rated brand for fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions, beating out Toyota and Honda in fleet-wide EPA mileage ratings.  Hyundai currently offers four vehicles with fuel efficiency rated at 40 mpg or higher, more than any other car maker.  The company is aiming for a fleet-wide average of 50 mpg by 2025.
  • The 2012 Hyundai Elantra won the prestigious “North American Car of the Year” award (the Genesis won the same award for model year 2009).  These Hyundai awards are the most coveted recognition any vehicle could receive.
  • Six different 2012 Hyundai models won IIHS “Top Safety Pick” honors – the Hyundai Elantra, Equus, Genesis, Sonata, Santa Fe and Tucson.
  • Six 2012 Hyundai vehicles won Cars.com  awards for being “best bets” for safety, reliability and fuel efficiency in their class:  the Hyundai Azera, Elantra, Genesis, Genesis Coupe, Sonata and Tucson.
  • The Hyundai Genesis was named “Most Dependable Midsize Premium Car” by J.D. Power and Associates, besting several strong competitors in a three-year vehicle dependability study.  The competition included the Cadillac STS, the BMW 5-Series, the Lincoln MKS, and the Mercedes E-Class, among others.
  • The 2012 Hyundai Elantra and 2012 Hyundai Sonata were each named one of the 10 best sedans under $25,000 by Kelley Blue Book’s www.kbb.com.  Likewise, the 2012 Genesis was tapped as one of the 10 best luxury cars under $40,000, and the 2012 Hyundai Tucson as one of the 10 most fuel-efficient SUVs/crossovers.

With all these Hyundai awards, is it any wonder the cars are selling like hotcakes?  And believe it or not, that’s only a few of the awards the company has recently received!

These Hyundai awards are impressive, but they’re only part of the story behind the popularity of Hyundai vehicles.  Toss in the friendly, highly-trained personnel working at Hyundai dealerships and you have a car-buying and service experience that can’t be beat.

Let’s talk a bit about the extensive Hyundai University training that Hyundai employees receive.

Without a doubt, it’s important to make quality vehicles that are packed with value and backed by a strong warranty.  The Hyundai awards mentioned above make it clear that Hyundai pulls all that off quite well.  But car and SUV/crossover shoppers are entitled to the best experience possible while they’re at the dealership.  And so are Hyundai owners who bring in their vehicles for service or maintenance. Not to mention that Hyundai cars gets amazing reviews with most prominent car dealer reviews in the country.

Hyundai University training gives dealership personnel the tools they need to help owners and shoppers in every way possible.  Well-trained sales associates, customer service reps, finance department experts, service technicians and managers can make all the difference to shoppers and owners who need to have their vehicle serviced or repaired.

Shopping for a new car can be intimidating, but dealership employees who have been through the extensive Hyundai University training can make the process a whole lot smoother and easier.  Your Hyundai sales associate can help you pick the right vehicle, take you on a test drive, and introduce you to the helpful Hyundai car loan and lease expert down the hall if you need financing.

The Hyundai University training your service technician has completed will ensure that your Hyundai is maintained and serviced properly in accordance with factory specifications and requirements.  Hyundai University training is a win-win for customers and employees!

Hyundai Vehicles and the Famous Hyundai Warranty

It’s hard to imagine someone who hasn’t seen or at least heard about the amazing vehicles Hyundai has been making.  You can see them cruising down the streets and parked in driveways and parking lots whenever you’re out and about, because Hyundai vehicles have become some of the hottest sellers out there.

Everyone’s talking about them.  Turn on your TV and there’s a good chance you’ll see an ad for a Hyundai product sometime during the evening.  And word of mouth recommendations of Hyundai vehicles are at an all-time high.  Neighbors, family members, friends and even total strangers are telling prospective car buyers about the advantages of buying a Hyundai auto.

Let me give you a little example of the kind of thing I’m talking about.  Right after I pulled into the lot at my local grocery store, a complete stranger noticed my Hyundai Azera.  I had parked near her car, and when I got out she stopped me so she could ask a few questions.  Just basic stuff, like “how does it ride” and “is it dependable or have a lot of things gone wrong with it?  Well, I answered her questions (it rides GREAT and I haven’t had any trouble with it over the four years I’ve had it) and then it was like the floodgates were opening.

I opened the driver’s door and invited her to sit inside.  I showed her all the different controls and told her about the car’s safety and convenience features.  I have an Azera Limited and it’s loaded to the gills, but my favorite feature – and the one that always impresses people – is the power rear sunshade.  After I finished showing off the car, I told her all about the great Hyundai warranty.  It was like I was a car salesperson, only I was just giving her my honest opinions.

Well, I’m getting a little carried away with my story, but the point is that a complete stranger walked up to me and wanted to know whether I’d recommend a Hyundai product.  And naturally, I did.  Why wouldn’t I?  It’s a great car and it has an outstanding Hyundai warranty!

By the way, that’s not the first time that kind of thing has happened.

Hyundai must be extremely proud that people are talking about its vehicles this way.  When the company first started selling cars in the US, it was known mostly for its low prices.  Not many people had heard of Hyundai’s products, and the company’s competitors took it pretty lightly.

Well, things are a lot different nowadays.  Hyundai has evolved from being a little-known, lightly-regarded car maker to where it is now – one of the world’s automotive powerhouses.  Now, Hyundai isn’t just known for building affordable cars – its vehicles are famous throughout the world for their quality, safety, industry-leading warranty and feature-for-dollar value.

A lot of pride goes into making every Hyundai product.  If you didn’t realize that already, you would when you start looking into the famous Hyundai warranty.

Without a doubt, the Hyundai warranty is the best in the car industry.  The company is committed to delivering great quality, dependability and reliability in every Hyundai product.  And it backs its strong commitment with an industrial-strength warranty that’s the longest and most comprehensive you can get for any new car.  “America’s Best Warranty” gives you:

  • 5-year/60,000 mile bumper-to-bumper coverage;
  • 7-year/unlimited mileage anti-perforation coverage; and
  • 10-year/100,000 mile powertrain coverage.

Plus, Hyundai tosses in a free 24-hour roadside assistance plan that’s good for 5 years, no matter how many miles you put on your car!

I think this comprehensive, lengthy Hyundai warranty is probably the strongest signal the company could possibly send about the quality and durability of every Hyundai product – not to mention how much pride the company has in every vehicle.  After all, the company would go out of business pretty quickly if it offered this kind of warranty for cars that broke down all the time.

Hyundai vehicles include everything from the very economical Accent to the Equus, a high-end luxury sedan.  The car and crossover models Hyundai is currently making include:

  • Accent
  • Azera
  • Elantra
  • Equus
  • Genesis
  • Genesis Coupe
  • Santa Fe
  • Sonata
  • Sonata Hybrid
  • Tucson
  • Veloster
  • Veracruz

Most of these models are available in several trim levels, but every one of them will give you great reliability and value.  And, they all come with the outstanding Hyundai warranty.  It’s the best in the business, bar none.
